Another exhibition, this time Poznań!

“Woman, Naturally” in Poznań County – a report from the exhibition opening in Koziegłowy

On 23 September, I had the pleasure of presenting my project “Woman, Naturally” outside Gniezno. This time, the exhibition came to Poznań County, and the opening took place at the Centre for Culture and Recreation in Koziegłowy at the invitation of GOK “Sokół” in Czerwonak.

It was one of those evenings when you stop “doing things” for a moment and simply feel that it all makes sense. You enter the space, see your photographs on the walls, and beside them people who came to see them and truly pause. For me, that is always the most important thing: that someone can find in these frames not only an image, but also an emotion.

What is “Wadera” about?

“Wadera” is the title of the entire project, of which the exhibition is a part. In hunting terminology, wadera means a she-wolf – a symbol of strength, instinct and independence. For me, it is a metaphor for a woman who is able to find herself in harmony with nature and her own rhythm, without being forced to fit into other people’s expectations.

These photographs are the result of dialogue: meeting, conversation, silence and breath. I photograph in a way that does not try to “pull” a role out of a person, but allows them to be themselves. That is why there is both delicacy and strength in these frames. And nature is not just a background – it can be mysterious, sometimes raw, but it is precisely there that it is easiest to see something primal and true.

The exhibition opening in Koziegłowy – what it was like

The opening in Koziegłowy had a lot of warmth in it. Conversations about photographs intertwined with ordinary conversations about life. The kind that stay in your mind longer than the evening itself. The exhibition was received very well, and I feel that “Woman, Naturally” can resonate beyond my hometown too.

An important part of this project is also the exhibition curator – Joanna Synowiec, a woman from Gniezno who co-created the event from both the organisational and narrative side. Thanks to this, the whole story feels coherent and is told in the way I like: calmly, without pretension, but with meaning.

This may be the last chance to see these photographs in a gallery

I am increasingly preparing for the presentation of a new artistic series, so the current exhibition may be one of the last opportunities to see “Woman, Naturally” in a gallery space. If you feel you would like to experience it in person, it is worth taking the opportunity.

And if you cannot make it, the project also lives online – on wadera.art, where you can see the photographs and read about the idea behind them.

Article about the exhibition

Thank you

Thank you to everyone who came to the opening, paused by the photographs, talked to me and shared their reflections. These meetings are something more than an “event” to me. They are confirmation that there is truth in this path: returning to passion, letting go of pressure and doing things in my own way.
