Marysia – a women’s photo session near Gniezno. One woman, two worlds
I met Marysia near Gniezno, in a place where, during one evening, you can experience two completely different worlds. First there was golden sunlight and soft grasses, later – a dense forest, darkness and light drawing out only what mattered most. This women’s photo session was more a story about a change of mood than about posing.
When you write to me as a photographer in Gniezno, a similar question often appears: “is it possible to show different sides of me in one session?” The meeting with Marysia is a good answer – yes, it is. And you do not need ten locations for that, only a little trust and time.
Golden light – warmth, lightness and the first breath
We started classically – with an outdoor session in soft afternoon light. A meadow, bushes, a little forest, a simple dress and hair catching every ray of sun. At the beginning, like most women, Marysia said she did not know what to do with her hands and that she would “definitely look strange.” That is why I always treat the first dozen or so minutes as a warm-up – lots of movement, simple tasks, laughter, and sometimes silence.
The point is not to “look perfect” right away. The point is to give yourself time to get used to the fact that someone is looking and seeing more than just a “pretty frame.” This is when women’s photography begins to work more deeply – not only as a profile picture, but as an experience that stays with you for longer.
If you want to calm your mind a little before the session, you can visit the guide how to prepare for a photo session. It is a set of simple tips that help you enter the meeting more calmly.
When dusk falls – the second face of the same woman
When the sun disappeared behind the line of trees, we moved deeper into the forest. Here, we entered a completely different atmosphere – less idyll, more mystery. Instead of natural light, I used simple artificial lighting that pulled Marysia out of the darkness and allowed us to focus on her gaze, the line of her shoulders and the small movements of her hands.
This part of the session is already closer to sensual photography, although it is still not about nudity, but about mood. Warm light on the skin, a dark background, a little smoke, a few accidental leaves in the hair. It is a space where you can spend time with the part of yourself that is usually hidden in everyday life – wilder, quieter, more intense.

Women’s photography in Gniezno – what can you take from it for yourself?
This session was created near Gniezno, in places that are within easy reach – a little forest, a few fields, some water. You do not need a trip to the mountains or exotic beaches to create images that will be important to you. As a photographer in Gniezno, I mainly work in spaces like these – accessible, yet giving a sense of distance from everyday life.
A women’s session can be:
- a break from everyday life – two hours just for you,
- a symbolic closing of a certain stage: after therapy, after a difficult time, after a change in life,
- a gift – from you to yourself or to someone close to you,
- or simply curiosity: what it is like to see yourself through the eyes of someone who looks attentively, not judgmentally.
You can find out more about how I work during sessions in the offer – women’s photography Gniezno / Poznań section.
How to book your session?
If, after seeing Marysia’s session, you feel that this form of women’s photo session is close to you, you can write me a few sentences about yourself. You do not need a specific idea for the photos – we will figure that out together. In your message, you can mention whether you feel closer to golden sunlight or rather to a darker, more mysterious forest atmosphere.
If you prefer to take the first step in the form of a gift – for yourself “for later” or for someone close to you – take a look at the voucher for a women’s session in Gniezno and Poznań. Such a voucher often becomes the reason to finally allow yourself to stand on this side of the camera.
And if the sentence “I am not suitable for photos” is still sitting in your head – you are exactly the person I like working with most.
